Alice (Sylvia) Thomas Simpson has been involved with talks etc. RE "Scientists in the Congregation" as a member of St. Andrew's Cathedral, Aberdeen, Scotland. She also served on the Board of Trustees @ the Cathedral as well as being currently involved with the finances. She is now retired. She was employed in a Chartered Accountants practice where she audited & prepared accounts for tax purposes.

A trained intercultural mediator and active reseaercher on youth and migration, Amy Stapleton is currently president of the French non-profit organisation, Mitrajectoires, which is part of the international youth network Voices of Young Refugees in Europe (VYRE) http://www.wearevyre.net/. She works to promote interculturality and promoting the voices of youth, particularly marginalised youth, in society, for instance, running a number of youth projects in the make-shift camps in the North of France. She also works to promote youth participation in academia, with the roles of Associate editor of the Student Forum of the international journal AI&Society and as the founder and chair of the Young Researchers Forum Working Group within the Technical Comittee on Technology, Culture, Ethics and International Stability, IFAC https://tc.ifac-control.org/9/5.
